New XR – The Best Gravel Frame
Two Levels of Carbon
The new XR is built on the revisited, high and mid-modulus carbon frames. The high-modulus frames start with the XR 9.7 models (incl. 9.9, 9.8, and 9.7). Mid-modulus carbon is then used for 9.6 and lower. For higher-end models, we use the high-modulus carbon material, which offers great strength and lightest weight. The high- modulus frame itself weighs 827g, the fork 396g, and the seat post 190g. In total, the frame set weighs 1.413g.
The mid-modulus frame itself weighs 1072g, the fork 411g, and the seat post 236g, all together 1.719g. In comparions with previous X-Road carbon frame, built entirely on mid-modulus carbon, we achieved a weight reduction thanks to improved lamination based on 3D software calculations.

Outstanding Design
We took the brand’s product design key (Speed/Lightness/Purity) and reinforced it even more into the frame, while also treating end customers to new trends currently seen in the Gravel segment, namely the “wider clearance” concept.
The design is neat, clean, and oriented simply for purists. We hid the front axles and implemented long lines with zero curves to accelerate the clean, streamlined look.

Stiffness
The new frame is stiffer in comparison with the previous X-Road generation. The stiffness is increased on mid-modulus models via the improved lamination layout and optimised tube shaping, which increases the overall stiffness of the structure without compromising on weight. Further stiffness is then added to the high-modulus frames primarily by using the high-modulus carbon material.
Aerodynamics
We focused on getting aerodynamic features integrated into the new frame, and we managed to perfectly combine the needs of gravel riding with aerodynamic standards. The most important aerodynamic gains come from reshaping not only the front area but also the rear sections. This design minimises airflow separation and drag, optimising performance at higher speeds.

Smarter and More Practical
We reinforced the Gravel application and increased the wider clearance to 45 mm. At the same time, we ensured that the new frame was compatible with current trends: UDH and Combo handlebars. We added an updated cable routing system to the frame for a cleaner, more modern look. And a few smart functions were also added, including integrated lighting on the seat tube and mud-fender handles.
Tested in Germany
The new frames have undergone rigorous testing at the EFBe laboratory in Germany, renowned for its high-quality standards and demanding protocols. These tests ensure the durability and performance of our products under extreme conditions.
